Arthritis Foundation Tai
Chi program is a recreational exercise program which is designed
to improve the lives of people with arthritis. Originally
created by Dr. Paul Lam, a world-renowned Tai Chi teacher and
family physician, it utilizes Sun style Tai Chi, one of the four
major recognized styles of Tai Chi. This style is
particularly effective for people with arthritis because it
includes agile steps and exercises that may improve mobility,
breathing and relaxation. In addition, the movements have
higher stances, which make them easier to learn.
